The Conference Committee encourages proposals of alternative sessions, including roundtables. The format of an alternative session is open. Time and scholarly content are the only restrictions. Please describe the nature and format of such sessions insofar as possible in the session abstract. Please contact the Conference Coordinator, if necessary, to describe alternative sessions completely. Examples of alternative sessions include:
A roundtable is an informal discussion given by a group of scholars. No papers are be presented at a roundtable. For a roundtable proposal, there is only a roundtable/session abstract. Individual abstracts submitted by presenters are not required.
Roundtable abstracts should describe the theme of the session and how each presentation contributes to the theme. A statement of the argumentative, methodological, or theoretical contribution of the session should also be given.
Each roundtable or alternative session should have a chair to facilitate the session's procedures: keep time, facilitate questions, etc. as appropriate. No session should have more than five presenters.
