The Annual Conference on South Asia invites scholars, students, professionals, and anyone interested in research on the region to Madison, Wisconsin, for a four-day event featuring research panels and roundtables, lectures and addresses, film screenings, booksellers, association receptions, and other special presentations. The conference grows year-by-year, welcoming over 800 registered attendees last year in 2016.

Ayesha Jalal's Keynote Address, 'Faultlines of Freedom' will take place Friday, Oct 27th at 6:30pm in the Wisconsin Ballroom.
Hari Krishnan's inDANCE will offer a special dance performance Friday, Oct 27th at 9pm in the Wisconsin Ballroom.
Urvashi Butalia & Nandini Sundar's Plenary Address will take place Saturday, Oct 28th at 4pm in Capitol Ballroom A.
In Memoriam Room
Friday evening from 7 - 11 pm in University A, we will have a room dedicated to the memory of those members of the South Asian community who have passed away in the previous year.
Each individual will have a dedicated table with a book to sign. If you are interested in honoring someone, please contact the Conference Organizers at firstname.lastname@example.org.
