NEW: Mac Laptops are provided in all conference rooms. To minimize AV delays and technical issues, please bring only a USB stick with your presentation.

New Attendee Welcome

If this is your first year attending the Annual Conference on South Asia, please join our Conference Chair, Mitra Sharafi, who will host new attendees to the Annual Conference on South Asia to an informal reception on Friday morning before Session 1. Grab coffee and a scone from one of the break stands on the second floor and meet other new attendees as Dr. Sharafi offers an overview of the conference with suggestions on what to check out while you are here. This is a great opportunity to meet other new attendees and to form professional relationships at the outset of this year’s Conference.

Roundtable on Sexual Harassment in the field of South Asian Studies: A community discussion

The aim of the roundtable is to encourage our scholarly community to talk about the issue of sexual harassment among scholars in our field openly and explicitly. We are eager to keep the discussion focused on the issue of sexual harassment faced by students and scholars, and not to move too far into the topic of sexual harassment as a subject studied by scholars (but not among scholars). This is an important topic of discussion and we urge you to attend this roundtable discussion.
