Call for Papers

What happens when cultural, social, political, economic, physical and other structures and practices fall apart through degeneration or disuse? Decay implies disintegration and decline, but it can also lead to regeneration and reform. We welcome panels that explore this theme, its allies and opposite in relation to a wide variety of methodologies, locations, periods, texts, and traditions. We also encourage proposal submissions that do not address the conference theme.

To submit a proposal for a preconference, panel, roundtable, or single paper, please log in to your profile and register here. Please note the following deadlines for submission and announcements:

  • Tuesday, March 1: Preconference proposal deadline
  • Friday, April 1: All other submissions (panel, roundtable, single paper) deadline
  • Early June: Letters of acceptance sent and conference schedule posted on website
